Rulan Li
Rulan has a strong passion for drawing. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Parsons School of Design in New York and later completed the MSc Creative Arts and Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London. Her artistic practice focuses on emotional healing and inner experience, and her illustration I Love “Food” has been collected by the Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Columbia University.
With a strong interest in the intersection of art and mental health, her master’s dissertation combined observations from her work with Theatre Troupe and her own artistic practice to examine how puppetry, within a trauma-informed framework, can help vulnerable children develop self-awareness, express emotions, and build social connections. Her research provides valuable insights for the design and implementation of community-based arts and mental health programs.
Rulan is currently a Product Manager at the international education company ASEEDER, where she oversees the operation and development of international competitions and certification programs in drama, English learning, and public speaking, including the Trinity College London Speech and Drama Qualification, the ESU Youth Public Speaking Competition, and the Hippo English Olympiad. Through the integration of drama and language learning, she is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for children to develop creativity, confidence, and freedom of expression.
She also continues her own artistic practice, engaging in deep dialogue with her inner self, and hopes to publish her own children’s book in the future~
