Dr Ana Claudia de Castro Lima
Ana is a Brazilian medical doctor and Jungian psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience in geriatric and clinical medicine, mental health, and holistic care. Her professional path has been shaped by a deep interest in the symbolic, creative, and spiritual dimensions of healing, rooted in her upbringing in Bahia, Brazil.
In 2021, Ana moved to London to study on the MSc in Creative Arts and Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London, graduating with Distinction. Her dissertation, Spontaneous Movement and Dance as a Form of Creative Enquiry for Human Flourishing and Practitioner Development, explored the use of body language and dance as tools for reflection, self-care, and emotional awareness in medical education.
Ana is currently based in London, where she continues to develop interdisciplinary research and educational projects. She contributed to the Flourishing Spaces initiative at QMUL and co-founded Mental Health Worldwide, a platform for creative and compassionate dialogue in global mental health. Her current work remains focused on art-based approaches that bridge clinical knowledge, psychological insight, and creative expression to support mental health and human connection.
Her work is not just about advocating for a shift in mental health care, but about a mission to help individuals live fully and meaningfully at all stages of life.
